Hikmah #91
“Anyone can marry and unite with the Divine Love. Its ring is fanafillah.”

“Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire – of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.”
( Surat A’li Imran verse 14 )
“Dijadikan indah pada (pandangan) manusia kecintaan kepada apa-apa yang diingini, yaitu: wanita-wanita, anak-anak, harta yang banyak dari jenis emas, perak, kuda pilihan, binatang-binatang ternak dan sawah ladang. Itulah kesenangan hidup di dunia, dan di sisi Allah-lah tempat kembali yang terbaik.”

Abu Hurayrah, radiyallahu a’nhu, reported that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu a’layhi wasallam, said: “Allah the Almighty has said: ‘Whosoever acts with enmity towards a closer servant of Mine (wali), I will indeed declare war against him. Nothing endears My servant to Me than doing of what I have made obligatory upon him to do. And My servant continues to draw nearer to Me with supererogatory (nawafil) prayers so that I shall love him. When I LOVE him, I shall be his hearing with which he shall hear, his sight with which he shall see, his hands with which he shall hold, and his feet with which he shall walk. And if he asks (something) of Me, I shall surely give it to him, and if he takes refuge in Me, I shall certainly grant him it; and I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to take the soul of the believer, for he hates death, and I hate to disappoint him.'”

“When a man asked the prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, “O Messenger of Allah, when will the Day of Judgment be?”, the Prophet (SAW) replied, “What have you prepared for it?” he said, “I have not prepared for it a great deal of prayer, fasting nor charity, but I LOVE Allah and His Messenger intensely,” the Prophet(SAW) said, “You will be with those whom you LOVE.”

“If Allah would love his servant He would call Archangel Gabriel and tell him “I love this person, therefore love him.” And Jibraeel would love him and call out in the heavens “Allah loves this person, therefore love him.” And the inhabitants of the heavens would love him. Then he would be embraced by the people of this world.”

( Surat Al-Kahf verse 28 )
“Dan bersabarlah kamu bersama-sama dengan orang-orang yang menyeru Tuhannya di pagi dan senja hari dengan mendambakan (bisa pandang) Wajah-Nya; dan janganlah kedua matamu berpaling dari mereka (karena) mengharapkan (kenikmatan sementara) perhiasan dunia ini; dan janganlah kamu mengikuti orang yang hatinya telah Kami lalaikan dari berdzikir, serta mengikuti Ego-nya dan adalah keadaannya itu melewati batas.”

“All angels are humble, truthful, sincere, zuhud by their own will and fanafillah by God’s will. So, mankind who are fanafillah by their own will are better than the angels in heaven, like the holy prophet Muhammad (SAW), Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and his virgin mother Maria. And nobody can fanafillah by their own will unless he/she becomes humble, truthful, sincere, and zuhud before.”

“Semua malaikat rendah hati, lurus, tulus, zuhud karena kemauannya sendiri dan fanafillah karena kehendak (takdir) Tuhan. Jadi, manusia yang fanafillah karena kehendaknya sendiri lebih mulia daripada para malaikat di surga, seperti Nabi suci Muhammad (Saw), Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa dan ibundanya yang perawan Maryam. Dan tiada yang bisa fanafillah karena kehendaknya sendiri kecuali ia-nya telah menjadi manusia yang rendah hati, lurus, tulus, dan zuhud sebelumnya.”

“And (remember) when We said to the angels: “Prostrate yourselves before Adam.” And they prostrated except Iblis (Satan), he refused and was proud and was one of the disbelievers (disobedient to Allah).”

“Dan (ingatlah) ketika Kami berfirman kepada para malaikat: “Sujudlah kamu kepada Adam,” maka sujudlah mereka kecuali Iblis; ia enggan dan takabur dan adalah ia termasuk golongan kafir.”
