Hikmah 71
“Dhikr is the door to seven Heavens,
Its key is Fanafillah through being
Humble, truthful, sincere, zuhud
Without it anyone will still in front of the door
Without hearing, seeing and smelling anything.”

“The gate of truthfulness is humility, the gate of sincerity is truthfulness

“The horse of truthfulness is humility, the horse of sincerity is truthfulness
The horse of zuhud is sincerity, the horse of fanafillah is zuhud,
And the horse of the greatest favors of your Lord is fanafillah,
Each ‘horse’ brings satisfaction, blessing and nearness to God for the riders.”

Each ‘river’ brings freshness, calmness and happiness for the swimmers.”

“The mount of truthfulness is humility, the mount of sincerity is truthfulness

Each ‘mount’ brings clarity, peace and easement for the climbers.”

Each way brings coolness, enlightenment, peace and happiness.”

“Satan always use ego to mislead mankind to mock each other,
provoke each other, hate each other, fight each other, kill each other
except those who are always humble, truthful, sincere, zuhud, fanafillah.”

“O Dawud (David)! Verily! We have placed you as a successor on earth, so judge you between men in HAQQ (Truth) and follow not your EGO for it will mislead you from the Path of Allah. Verily! Those who wander astray from the Path of Allah (shall) have a severe torment, because they forgot the Day of Reckoning.”

“Hai Dawud, sesungguhnya Kami menjadikan kamu khalifah (penguasa) di muka bumi, maka berilah keputusan (perkara) di antara manusia dengan Haqq (Benar) dan janganlah kamu mengikuti EGO, karena ia (ego) akan menyesatkan kamu dari jalan Allah. Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang sesat darin jalan Allah akan mendapat azab yang berat, karena mereka melupakan hari perhitungan.”

Hikmah 79
“The real enemies of mankind are only iblis, satan and ego.
No one can conquer them without being humble, truthful,
sincere, zuhud, fanafillah in dealing with all affairs of daily life.”

“Prophets and saints use different languages, customs and holy scriptures
to heal mankind. But they use the same traits to heal the world, which are
Humility, Truthfulness, Sincerity, Zuhud, and Fanafillah.”

“Nabi-nabi dan wali-wali Allah pakai bahasa, tradisi, dan kitab suci yang
berbeda-beda untuk menyembuhkan umat manusia. Namun mereka pakai
pendekatan yang sama untuk menyembuhkan dunia, yaitu dengan Tawadhu’,
Lurus (Jujur-Saleh-Berintegritas Tinggi), Tulus (Ikhlas), Zuhud, dan Fanafillah.”

Hikmah 82
“All prophets and saints are forbearing because forbearing is the fruit of Humility and Truthfulness. While forbearing without want anything in return is the fruit of Sincerity, Zuhud, and Fanafillah. The Forbearing fruit of Truthfulness is bigger and sweeter than the Forbearing fruit of Humility. And the Forbearing fruit of Sincerity is bigger and sweeter than the Forbearing fruit of Truthfulness. And the Forbearing fruit of Zuhud is bigger and sweeter than the Forbearing fruit of Sincerity. And the Forbearing fruit of Fanafillah is the biggest and sweetest of all.”

“Semua nabi dan wali Allah sabar karena sabar adalah buah dari Tawadhu’ dan Lurus. Sedangkan sabar tanpa harap balasan apa pun adalah buah dari Tulus, Zuhud, dan Fanafillah. Buah Sabarnya Lurus lebih besar dan lebih manis daripada buah Sabarnya Tawadhu’. Dan buah Sabarnya Tulus lebih besar dan lebih manis daripada buah Sabarnya Lurus. Dan buah Sabarnya Zuhud lebih besar dan lebih manis daripada buah Sabarnya Tulus. Dan buah Sabarnya Fanafillah adalah yang terbesar dan termanis dari semua buah Sabar.”

“Verily, We have inspired you (O Muhammad SAW) as We inspired Nuh (Noah) and the Prophets after him; We (also) inspired Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma’il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya’qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat [the twelve sons of Ya’qub (Jacob)], ‘Iesa (Jesus), Ayub (Job), Yunus (Jonah), Harun (Aaron), and Sulaiman (Solomon), and to Dawud (David) We gave the Zabur (Psalms). And Messengers We have mentioned to you before, and Messengers We have not mentioned to you, – and to Musa (Moses) Allah spoke directly. Messengers as bearers of good news as well as of warning in order that mankind should have no plea against Allah after the Messengers. And Allah is Ever All-Powerful, All-Wise.”
( Surat An-Nis?’ verse 163-165 )
“Sesungguhnya Kami telah memberikan wahyu kepadamu sebagaimana Kami telah memberikan wahyu kepada Nuh dan nabi-nabi yang kemudiannya, dan Kami telah memberikan wahyu (pula) kepada Ibrahim, Isma’il, Ishak, Ya’qub dan anak cucunya, Isa, Ayyub, Yunus, Harun dan Sulaiman. Dan Kami berikan Zabur kepada Daud. Dan (Kami telah mengutus) rasul-rasul yang sungguh telah Kami kisahkan tentang mereka kepadamu dahulu, dan rasul-rasul yang tidak Kami kisahkan tentang mereka kepadamu. Dan Allah telah berbicara kepada Musa dengan langsung. (Mereka Kami utus) selaku rasul-rasul pembawa berita gembira dan pemberi peringatan agar supaya tidak ada alasan bagi manusia membantah Allah sesudah diutusnya rasul-rasul itu. Dan adalah Allah Paling Maha Perkasa lagi Paling Maha Bijaksana.”

Hikmah 83
“Behind the door of HUMILITY is Nafs-i-Mulhama (the inspired soul)
Behind the door of TRUTHFULNESS is Nafs-i-Mutma’inna (the tranquil soul)
Behind the door of SINCERITY is Nafs-i-Radiyya (the well pleased soul)
Behind the door of ZUHUD is Nafs-i-Mardiyya (the well pleasing soul)
Behind the door of FANAFILLAH is Nafs-i-Zakiyya* (the pure soul)
No one can open and enter those doors unless through Dhikr (Remembrance of God) and LOVE.”

“Di balik pintu RENDAH HATI adalah Nafsu Mulhamah (jiwa terilhami)
Di balik pintu LURUS-JUJUR adalah Nafsu Muthma’innah (jiwa yang tenang)
Di balik pintu TULUS adalah Nafsu Radiyyah (jiwa yang puas)
Di balik pintu ZUHUD adalah Nafsu Mardiyyah (jiwa yang diridhoi)
Di balik pintu FANAFILLAH adalah Nafsu Dzakiyyah* (jiwa yang murni suci)
Tiada yang dapat membuka dan memasuki pintu-pintu itu kecuali dengan Dzikir dan CINTA.”

“Then they both proceeded, till they met a boy, he (Khidr) killed him. Musa (Moses) said: “Have you killed a PURE (ZAKIYYA) soul who had killed none? Verily, you have done a deplorable thing.”
( Surat Al-Kahf verse 74 )
“Then He (Allah) inspired (A’LHAMA) it (the soul) to understand what is wrong and what is right for it; He will indeed be successful who purifies it (the soul).”
( Surat Ash-Shams verse 8-9 )
“O tranquil (MUTMA’INNA) soul, Come back to your Lord, Well-pleased (RADIYYA) and well-pleasing (MARDIYYA) unto Him!”
( Surat Al-Fajr verse 27-28 )
(The angel) said: “I am only a Messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of a PURE (ZAKIYYA) boy (i.e. Jesus/’Isa).”

“Maka berjalanlah keduanya; hingga tatkala keduanya berjumpa dengan seorang anak, maka Khidhr membunuhnya. Musa berkata: “Mengapa kamu membunuh jiwa yang bersih (NAFSAN DZAKIYYAH), bukan karena dia membunuh orang lain? Sesungguhnya kamu telah melakukan suatu yang mungkar.”

“Maka Allah mengilhamkan (A’LHAMAH) kepada jiwa itu (jalan) kefasikan dan ketakwaannya. Sesungguhnya beruntunglah orang yang mensucikan jiwa itu.”

“Hai jiwa yang tenang (MUTHMA’INNAH). Kembalilah kepada Tuhanmu dengan hati yang puas (RADIYYAH) lagi diridhai-Nya (MARDIYYAH).”

(Jibril) berkata: “Sesungguhnya aku ini hanyalah seorang utusan Tuhanmu, untuk memberimu seorang anak laki-laki yang SUCI (DZAKIYYAH).”
